Kelly’s journey began in New Milford, Connecticut, but it was in her late teens that she made the move south with her parents, John and Josephine, to Lexington, South Carolina — a place that would become home in every sense of the word. It wasn’t long before her creative spark found a path. After helping a friend at Appleby Creations, Kelly discovered a passion for custom framing and soon opened her own shop, Kelly’s Korner, within M Gallery Interiors.
Over the years, Kelly’s dedication to her craft and her love for the community only deepened. She credits Jerry and Donna Kirkland with giving her the encouragement and support to take the next big step — becoming the proud owner of The Custom Framer of Lexington, a beloved local business originally founded in 1985.
What Kelly loves most about custom framing is the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life, hearing their stories and helping them showcase memories in beautiful ways that brighten their homes and hearts. Her dream project? Framing a Joey Logano NASCAR race suit — and keeping it for herself!
Beyond framing, Kelly has expanded her creative offerings with local artisans and curating a charming collection of gifts, including glassware, notecards, soaps, lotions, art, and jewelry — all thoughtfully displayed in her gallery.
Kelly is also a proud mom of two
wonderful children and a doting grandmother to four energetic grandkids. When she’s not in the gallery,
you’ll most likely find her enjoying a beach breeze or making memories with her family.
